Lauren Potter:
Lauren completed her Business Administration apprenticeship in February 2021 and is now a senior member of the support team. As a member of the Pensions and Divorce team, Lauren provides support to our Chartered Financial Planner, Sophie. Lauren is continuing her studies and is currently completing the Regulated Financial Planning Diploma with the CII.
'I completed my apprenticeship in conjunction with Yeovil College in 2021 and acquired invaluable skills and knowledge during this time. I feel that an apprenticeship was a good stepping stone into work life after finishing full time education. It was a great opportunity which continues to benefit my career today.'
Matt Helyar:
Matt joined Adanac in 2020 as an apprentice and completed the programme in June 2022. Since completing his apprenticeship, Matt has advised clients in many areas, including wealth management, savings and investments, retirement planning and inheritance tax planning. Matt is continuing his studies and is currently completing the Advanced Diploma and working towards becoming chartered.
'I found the apprenticeship a great route into financial services and provided me with the necessary skills and confidence whilst learning on the job.'
Dan Goddard:
Having previously worked in the education sector, Dan was looking for a route into financial planning. Dan completed his Financial Services Adviser apprenticeship in July 2024 and is now working towards achieving competent adviser status under the guidance of our director, Scott. Once this has been achieved, Dan will be supported with his ongoing studies, with a goal of becoming chartered.
'Having no previous experience in financial services and looking for a change in career, an apprenticeship was a great route to learn new technical skills. Scott provided fantastic on the job support, whilst my tutor, Roy, supported me with all my assignments. I have gained expert knowledge which has helped me thrive within my role.'
