Meet the Team

When selecting an IFA it is important to establish that they are not only authorised but also independent, suitably qualified and experienced.  We, at Adanac, are confident that we fit these criteria and more.

We have five qualified advisers, with specialities in different areas, but all with a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of financial planning. In addition to the advisers, there is back up from qualified and experienced administrators who ensure there is always a continuity of support and contact.

Scott Gibbons - Director and Financial Adviser Scott Gibbons - Director & Financial Adviser

I joined financial services in 1994 with the Wesleyan as a Home Services Representative. Whilst enjoying this role, I began to feel more and more uncomfortable with being able to advise only on one product. Recognising that I could do a better job for my clients by being independent, I left and started my career as an IFA. The highlight of my career to date was setting up Adanac in 2001 and since then watching it grow and become part of the business community in the South West.

Previously I was in the Royal Navy and served with the Royal Marines.

I have two beautiful girls, Mary 13 and Alice 10. In my spare time I try to keep fit and compete in Water Ski Racing at National level in the UK and Europe.

Rob Shire - Financial Adviser Rob Shire - Financial Adviser

I joined Lloyds Bank in March 1993 as a Financial Adviser and achieved much success. Nationally I was in the top 5% of advisers. Even so, I soon found that, even with all the advantages and unlimited resources of the Bank, something was missing. I was able to offer clients only products and little in the way of advice in other areas of financial planning. The natural move for me was to become independent, giving me the freedom to advise, rather than sell, and to provide unbiased advice across a broad spectrum.

I chose Adanac, as they are client driven and not target orientated, as many of the high street names are. I have been at Adanac for six years and proud to have been a part of the company's growth and look forward to the next chapter.

I am happily married to Sharon, living in Yeovil and have two children; Daisy aged 5, and Tom who is 3.

Stephanie Dyke - Financial Adviser Stephanie Dyke - Financial Adviser

I started my career as a Trainee at Berkeley Jackson Accountants (now Old Mill Group) working in the Specialist Pensions department working on SIPP’s/SSAS’ and FURB’S. In a few years I progressed to assistant manager of the department but after five years felt pigeon holed working in this specialist field and left to join Church House Investments and Pension Trustees to broaden my knowledge and lend my expertise to the newly formed Pension Trustee company.

At Church House Investments I advised high net worth clients on a range of investment and pension matters, particularly with regards to the tax efficiency of investments and advising on ‘gross’ funds that is Trusts, Pensions and Offshore products. I have recently joined Adanac Financial Services after six years at Church House Investments to allow me to provide a full financial planning service to clients without being tied to any one provider.

In my free time I am a busy mum to twin toddlers, and if a spare moment allows I enjoy Hapkido, swimming and reading.

Associate of the Chartered Securities & Investment Institute

Lucinda Langdon - Administrator Lucinda Langdon – Administrator

Before I started work at Adanac in October 2009, I worked in retail for 5 years. After taking a much needed career change, I am really enjoying the change of scene, and the challenges and opportunities it has presented me. It is a refreshing change to work in an environment where the client’s interests are at the forefront of the drive of the business, and people are treated as individuals.

I married my husband in June 2009, and we currently live in Yeovil with several motorbikes. Apart from Andrew and motorbikes, my greatest passions are music, theatre and literature.

Qualifications:
UK Financial Services, Regulations & Ethics (CF1)
